MISSION
We foster development in deprived communities through volunteering, charity projects, empowerment and education.
VISION
We seek to change society in our own small way, envisaging a world where every individual receives the good education and basic healthcare that they deserve – irrespective of background.
VALUES
– High value and quality, sustainable projects.
– Being at the forefront of global development.
– The expression of love for humanity.
– Mentoring leadership through volunteering.
What We Do
Founded in October 2015 by Samuel Dzomeku, NeedBe Foundation started helping deprived Ghanaian communities: first by donating clothes, then with advice on development strategies.
We aim to give children and the youth a new perspective and the chance to deploy their interests and use their talents for themselves and the community.
Through community events, we teach local communities simple methods to make life easier, prevent illnesses and raise awareness about the importance of education. We aim to make a sustainable, long-term impact, empowering each community to attain self-sufficiency.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
We are passionate about building people’s capacities to acquire skills such as bead making and cloth designing. These skills are integral to making individuals more productive and adding economic value to their society.
TOURISM MANAGEMENT
We recognise the economic importance of tourism to development and provide advice on tourism management to local communities. We encourage visitors to engage with local cultures and landscapes and provide a unique tropical experience of Ghana’s rich heritage.
EDUCATION
We aim to provide quality education by exposing young people to different styles of learning and helping them gain confidence as they grow. We also make use of alternative methods of imparting knowledge with the help and support of volunteers from all over the world – broadening the horizons of our students.
“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela.
HEALTH
Goal 3 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals refers to “the promotion of well-being for all at all ages”. One of our most important goals is to educate people about major and relevant health-related issues including menstrual cycles, malaria, and deworming.
